
Daniel Russell was born in the former Yugoslavia as “Goran” and adopted by American parents. He grew up in Cleveland, went to school in Chicago, and moved out to Los Angeles after college. He has worked as a video editor, writer, and story producer on a variety of projects. This includes feature documentaries (“The Bitter Buddha“, “Flying Solo“), television shows (“Spy Kids: Mission Critical” for Netflix, “Mano a Mano” for NBC Sports, “Foodiculous” for Travel Channel), short and feature films, music videos, film marketing, and more. He has also worked as a senior editor for Hulu and a promo editor for NBC. His screenplay “Goodbye Lyrics” was a Slamdance award winner, and his short film “Pareidolia” was screened at festivals around the country and overseas. In addition to his career, he has spent time as a volunteer teacher with groups like Rising Star Outreach in India and Camp del Corazon in Los Angeles.
